REACHING FOR THE STARS: A MISSION TO SPACE

This picture book features lyrical text that introduces space concepts while celebrating NASA's Artemis missions and future space adventures. The story invites readers to join a crew of astronauts on a mission to explore the moon, stars, and outer space.

The book combines illustrations with actual NASA photographs of space, using rhyming narrative to introduce STEM concepts, and includes a glossary of space vocabulary words. A strong female protagonist and diverse crew of scientists reflect NASA's goal of landing the first woman and first person of color on the moon.

Written by Roxanne Troup and illustrated by Amanda Lenz, both based in Colorado. Roxanne previously authored My Grandpa, My Tree, and Me, which received the 2024 Book of the Year award from the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture.
